Boobie Buddies :)

On Sunday, October 7th, Zoe and I spent the morning with my closest girlfriends and some of their kiddos. We completed our 6th annual Komen Walk for Breast Cancer. It was so much fun, especially trying to find parking. I think on try #3, Carmen & I finally found a place to park! Luckily that task wasn't nearly as difficult as folding up her daughter's stroller. You would think that two highly educated moms could figure that thing out. For a moment, I thought that Carmen was going to just leave it in the parking lot!

After the walk, we went to Mer's new home for breakfast :) We so look forward to this day every year as it is one special day for all of us to get together and have some quality time. Once again girls, I had a blast!

Well, I posted some pics from that day along with some new ones of Zoe on her sit 'n spin from Grandma 1/2 and Grandpa Burns! Today Zoe was carrying it from room to room, then as she sat and started spinning, she would say "whee"! Truly funny and incredibly adorable.

Home Decorating Begins!

Today Dedric & I started selecting flooring for the new house. I must say that it is gorgeous! So far, we have slate for the entryway, and tile for the kitchen, the master bath, master closet and laundry. I was very impressed with the gentlemen helping us out, as they had fabulous ideas. We cannot wait to see the finished product. I wanted to post the pics that Dedric took today of the flooring, but I am vowed to extreme secrecy until the finished product is ready for viewing. Sorry folks, but patience as they say, is a virtue :)

As for a peanut update, she is getting bigger, more vocal and very funny these days. She started home day care 3 weeks ago and is doing quite well. We are so blessed that Dedric's mom, Lita, had an opening for a new child, so Zoe gets to spend her days with someone that we know and love very much! Zoe LOVES her new friends, and her vocabulary seems to be getting bigger with each passing day. Her latest and greatest string of words... "oh, you so funny", as she laughs incessantly. It took me several days to decipher her new saying, but now that Dedric and I understand what it is she is saying, we cannot help but laugh with her! She truly is such a blessing and D and just wait with anticipation for tomorrow's new accomplishment.

I must say, this blogging thing is VERY cool! Although I now wish that I would have started this many months ago, I believe that the Lord had a very good reason for having me wait until now. We hope you are enjoying our updates. Now we are just waiting for one of you to start your own :) Love to all of you!

So much to talk about!

Well, I haven't posted in a bit and so I thought that we would update everyone :) Last Monday, Dedric & I bought a home about 15 minutes north of us in Firestone, Colorado. We bought a home by Advocate Homes, a semi-custom home builder in Colorado. Although some people believe that it may not be the best time to sell a home, it is definitely a great time to buy! It is a new build and is expected to be completed in late spring. We will be putting the home we are in on the market in early 2008. Our new home is a 3000 sq. ft ranch with a full basement. We have planned for 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths on the main level with one more bedroom and full bath in the basement. It will have a 4-car garage and is on a cul-de-sac. We absolutely LOVE that the house will back west, sits on a .7 acre lot and that we have a great view of Long's Peak :) We are looking to finish 2000-2500 sq. feet in the basement since we want it to be a great recreation area with a home theater, pool table, poker table & bar.
